How does the bounty board work?
Someone who needs footage of an incident posts a request with the location, date, and time. We publish it with their contact details removed and alert registered dashcam owners in the area. If an owner has matching footage, we connect the two by email. The reward and the handoff are between the parties.
Does DashcamBounty hold the reward money?
No. We never process payments or hold rewards. The reward amount shown is what the poster stated they are offering; the agreement is entirely between poster and responder.
Can I upload footage here?
No, and please do not send footage to us. Keep your original file unmodified; original files matter as evidence. When a poster wants your footage, you hand it to them directly.
Is my contact information published?
Never. Public bounty pages show a first name and last initial only. Responses are routed by email through us until both sides agree to connect.
